Hi, I’m Zyan Ellington. I’m the founder of Gamification Summit Blog.
My Story
I built this site as an attendee, not an event organizer. I’ve joined real gamification and eventtech events. Two stand out: GamiCon ATX in Austin, Texas (September 2024), and GamiCon48V, a 48-hour global online event (March 2026).
GamiCon ATX was different from anything I’d tried before. The sessions were great. But the people made it special. I met a room full of driven, engaged people who cared about the craft. It’s still one of the best events I’ve attended.
GamiCon48V gave me a moment I still think about. Anirudh Cheruvu presented a project there. He turned career planning for high school students into an RPG-style game. He showed how gamification can make academic goals feel exciting instead of boring. That idea stuck with me.
What I Learned as an Attendee
Sitting in the audience taught me something most guides skip. I saw what actually makes people buy a ticket. I saw which platforms make that process smooth. I saw which ones frustrate buyers instead. I also watched how organizers use gamification to boost their own registrations.
That attendee view shapes everything on this blog. I’m the founder of this site, but I’m not an event organizer. I’m not a payment-platform insider. I’m someone who sat in the crowd, bought the tickets, used the platforms, and paid attention.
What This Blog Covers
Gamification Summit Blog covers three things:
- Ticket-selling platforms for events, including tools like Xendit
- What makes ticket sales campaigns actually work
- How gamification boosts event registrations and engagement
I build every post on real research. I test platforms myself whenever I can. I share my own attendee experience, not recycled theory. When I give an opinion, I tell you where it comes from.
